Gypsum

Supporting Cement Performance and Workability

Description

Gypsum is a naturally occurring mineral that plays a critical role in cement manufacturing, where it is primarily used as a setting time regulator.

By controlling the hydration of cement, gypsum prevents premature hardening and allows sufficient working time during mixing, transport, and placement.

In addition to setting control, gypsum contributes to improved consistency, strength development, and reduced risk of cracking and shrinkage in concrete.

Its controlled and reliable performance makes gypsum an essential component in the production of high-quality cement and durable concrete structures.

Safety Information

Non-toxic, non-flammable, non-hazardous.

Quality Control & Sampling Procedure

The quality of the gypsum supplied is verified through a sampling and testing procedure conducted during loading operations.

Sampling is performed in accordance with applicable ISO or ASTM standards, ensuring representative and statistically valid samples of the delivered material.

Samples are analyzed for chemical composition, purity, moisture content, and setting-time-related properties relevant to cement applications.

A Certificate of Quality is issued based on the results of these analyses.
